Two websites Yibo built for non-profit organisations, from first conversation to live site. Both are still running today.

SAS Gawad Kalinga Club

The Gawad Kalinga club at Singapore American School has run since 2010. Its students spent seven years raising money to build their own village in Dalaguete, Cebu, broke ground in November 2018, and still support the families living there. Gawad Kalinga means “to give care” in Tagalog.

Most of that money comes from the Zombie Run, a 1.5km race across the SAS campus where high school students play the zombies. In most years it raises around $15,000 and takes about 700 runners and over 100 student volunteers from four clubs. ForAnother’s school kit handover was run with Gawad Kalinga.

What the site does

Tells the story of the club, the village and the families, with photos from student trips.
Runs a live countdown to Zombie Run registration and an event page for each run.
Publishes student write-ups from the November Trip and Interim visits.
Gives clear paths to join the club or donate.

Kidfinity and Beyond

Kidfinity and Beyond is a Philippine foundation that keeps children in school while their mothers are held in jail. Philippine jails hold nearly three times the people they were built for, most of those inside have not finished trial, and a case takes 529 days to resolve on average. No agency counts the children left behind.

Yibo knew the foundation’s founder personally and gathered the material directly from her. He scoped the project, planned the pages, wrote and edited the content, designed the experience and built the site. It is the foundation’s first public website, made through OpenSkills.

What the site does

Explains the issue with sourced figures, and four programmes: education, psychosocial care, livelihood and reintegration, and legal assistance.
Includes a Scholar Portal where scholars upload report cards each grading period. The portal checks grades against the 85% standard and a reviewer confirms them.
Publishes field reports from school kit distributions, jail orientations and partner visits.
Lets families apply for support and supporters donate.
