OpenSkills, and the person behind it
OpenSkills
OpenSkills is a non-profit based in Singapore working on AI education, AI literacy, and the development of apps and tools. The premise is simple: the gap opening up around AI isn't only about access to models, it's about who gets taught how to use them well.
We run free, small, hands-on courses. Hardware is provided. Teaching is direct rather than recorded. Every cohort ends with participants having built and published something real.
The organisation is young: the first cohort runs from 23 August 2026 with 20 migrant workers from It's Raining Raincoats, and a hackathon follows in November.

I'm a student, founder, and philanthropist in Singapore. Most of what I do sits at the intersection of two things I care about: giving people access to education, and building software that's actually used.
Through ForAnother, a non-profit I founded, I have raised upwards of S$5,700 for students in South Africa and Singapore. Through Snapiq, a Chrome extension with 100+ users, I help students merge screenshots to get around AI upload limits. OpenSkills is the next step: teaching directly, and helping others build their own tools.
